Search Engine Optimization Tutorial
Get SEO "RIGHT"
The purpose of "search engine optimization tutorial" is four-fold. - The basic mission of search engines
- Search Engine Optimization Tips
- Common SEO Goofs made by beginners
- Where to go to see "Proof" and "fool-proof Results" to ensure top SE ranking.
As you read search engine optimization tutorial you'll see that I'm not a fan of all the 'noise" one finds on the Web. The Web marketplace offers a near-endless, confusing array of "best ways" to get high search engine rankings. These "best ways" all have one purpose: to have you spend your money on their system in order to help you "manipulate" the search engines. Search engine optimization tutorial will show you the fallacy of this thinking. SEO manipulation Does Not Work! (1) Search Engine Optimization Tutorial: The Mission of Search Engines Search Engine Optimizers (SEOers) have become an "unofficial profession." Years ago, back in the 1990s, they ruled. Mostly, they ruled because: - Ordinary people and businesses did not understand the Web; and
- The Search Engines (SE) were not very sophisticated so "keyword stuffing" and "replicated gateway pages" ( a high percentage of identical content pages with one or two keyword variances) got the job done.
This early success of SEOers--getting Web pages to rank highly with Search Engines (SE) for their clients--has today made most people and small businesses believe that a SEO "professional" is required to build a website that gets traffic. It seems, we can't let go of the past. Search engine optimization tutorial shows you the correct SEO way. Over the years SEs have become very, very sophisticated. They never rest. They have rooms filled with Ph.D.s building ever-changing algorithms that are wiser and wiser. RESULT: SEOers are now part of the "whip and buggy industry!" REALITY: Not a single person knows all the secret ingredients of the algorithms! FUTURE: There are tons and tons of SEOers and SEO businesses out there all "guessing" and "pretending" to know how SEs determine what a page is all about. "Chasseing" ever-changing SE algorithms by these "experts" is foolhardy, and a complete waste of your money! WHY? In "Search Engine Optimization Tutorial" Search Engines have two goals. The first goal: They need to know what a website and each page of that site is "about" AND “how good the information is.” You help them make this judgment. Every time you visit a site you make a determination whether you like it or not. If yes, you click through it. If not, you close the site and click on another website. With every website visited, you make a judgment. Is it “real?” Does it answer my need for information? Will I ever come back to this site? SEs, like Google, have developed and are developing more and more sophisticated algorithms to check each page for “reality,” just like you do. All SEOers try to “mimic” what they think is the reality a SE is looking for. Therefore, chasing the ever-evolving algorithm is doomed. Your money is worth more than their guess! No search engine optimization tutorial would be worth its salt, if it did not give you this truth! The second goal: You and me are not the search engines customers. Their customers are their advertisers. Simply, if they do not exceed the expectations of their customers…there is no advertising. How do SEs meet these expectations? The more relevant the search result is for the website’s visitor, the more ads the SEs sells and the more “Profit” they make! So the best websites receive a higher ranking; that is, they get listed at or near the top of the “search results page” for each keyword search you make. And, that is YOUR GOAL in building a successful website. More about how to achieve this in # 3 and in #4 below. (2) Search Engine Optimization Tutorial: Search Engine Optimization Tips Approximately 84% of Web surfers turn to SEs to find information online; that is, they do not know of any website where they can find answers to the information they are seeking. A great website or great pages within the website must appear on page one or two of the search engine when a surfer types in a keyword or keyword phrase in the subject line. Why? Please answer this question. “When was the last time you went to page 2, page 3 or pages 4 through 2,653,821?" I thought so! If your website is not found by visitors, you have wasted your time and, probably money. So… TIP #1: Use a company like Site Build It! (SBI!) which provides step-by-step instruction and all the

TIP #2: Original relevant “content” gets results.
TIP #3: Use a company like SBI! which will help you find the “perfect” business niche. Plus you want to know (A) how “often” Web users search for the keywords that describe your business, (B) what is your business competition and, lastly, (C) what is the ratio or likelihood of profitability for each page of your site. This is how your site has relevancy. TIP #4: SEs look for “inbound links” from related sites which are ranked higher than your site. This is one way the SEs know your content information is good, because others think so too! Select a company like SBI! which offers a “Value Exchange” which searches other websites for potential links…a most valuable tool. TIP #5: Never use a free or nearly free “web-host.” Potential visitors will not find your site. Your website will just sit there, all nice and lonely. So will your wallet! (3) Search Engine Optimization Tutorial: Common SEO Goofs Made by Beginners Huge numbers of people are not familiar enough with the tools required to build a website that will rank high in SEs. They do not know SEO fact from SEO fiction. Here are the ”Top 5 Goofs” made by SEO rookies. - The title of each page of your website must contain your keyword or keyword phrase. Also, the keyword in your title should appear at the front of your title. SEs look for this in your page title. If it is not there, you lose!
- Each page of your website MUST have content focused on “ONLY ONE KEYWORD” or keyword phrase. Mixing “apples and oranges” does not work. You’ll confuse both your human visitors and SE spiders.
- Prior to the use of a keyword, you must first determine its popularity and approximately how many other Web pages also focus on it. If a keyword is too popular with other websites, the chances of your Web page being ranked high at SEs is minimal. The result is: “you’ll never be found!”
- The “placement” of keywords on each Web page and the “correct number” of them is so very important. This is a major benefit of using SBI! They analyze each of your pages for several SEO points.
- Rookies tend to bite on those sites found on the Web that say something like: “We’ll submit your site to a thousand SEs.”
Run, don’t walk and exit these sites. Submission to all these SEs will damage your site’s reputation in the eyes of the top SEs because these minor, usually free engines are of low quality and may use spandexing techniques. Your site could even be banned by the majors.
