Internet marketing scams prevail in good economies and bad. Today, there are so many good people trying earnestly to develop their online businesses, that scammers seem everywhere.
They want their piece of the action. They seem to have mastered the art of sucking good, hard working people into their clutches with deceptive Internet marketing scams. On the web search for "how to build a website," "how to achieve search engine optimization," "ready-made website earns real money" etc., etc., etc. Most of them are...Bull! Why? Because they make promises they can't meet. But good people, some of which, are unsure how to develop their web home-based business, feel insecure and seek any advantage they can to make money online. This fosters numerous Internet marketing scams.

Now, let's continue.
Don't Be Fooled! Here are the best of the worst false claims out there. When you see these gems...you'll know that Internet marketing scams are alive and well. - "Get top search engine optimization (SEO) results using 'Meta Tag' optimization."
This is so old school and just a failed sales tactic. In reality, this just plays on people's ignorance as a way to get ahead. AND, the cost can be daunting: $150 to $250 or more for about 10 to 15 minutes of work by a web builder. - "Get listed on dozens of Search Engines to get results fast."
Come on now, this is just a plain and simple sales gimmick. This is an Internet marketing scam at its worst! Why? There are only 4 main search engines: Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask. These engines control approximately 95% of all Internet searches. Only a reputable company like
Site Build It
with years of experience can keep your website before these 4 search engines. - "Get your website listed on hundreds of directories so people searching can find you."
Bull! There a dozens of free and paid (you pay) for directories out there. But are they worth it? No. Nearly all these directories are worthless. After research, you may find ten or fifteen that are valuable for your website, but not more. Also, you never know if some directories will link you to "link farms" which you definitely do not want! - "Get reciprocal link exchanges using our expertise to get listed at the top of search engine pages."
Be very, very careful here. There are so many companies out there offering link programs which, the odds are, will do nothing for you and cause you to waste your money. Google want links to be built naturally, one at a time over time. Anything in mass numbers will harm you with Google. Again, a solid company like Site Build It is one of the very few experienced and proven companies who do what they say they will do...and do it RIGHT! - "We'll get you a #1 Google ranking."
Highly doubt it! Did you know that nearly 99% of "all websites" are lucky to get any traffic! Yes, 99%. There are so many factors, even unknown factors, that Google uses to determine ranking order...that only Google knows! The key to a high ranking is having each page of your website be a sought after "keyword" followed by supporting content, LOT"S OF CONTENT! And, did I say FREE content. Yes, it should all be free. - "We'll get you 'Banner Advertising' to make you real money."
This is just a come-on...and soooooo out dated. Who wants this messing up their website? Great website builders always emphasize that you seldom want to provide external links that will take people away from your home page. "Banners" are external links plus they look shoddy. They detract from a professional looking site. Once you get a site visit, you don't want to turn that person off! - "Get 100s of back links for only $29.98."
No, No, and No! Don't even consider this. Why? These links are unknown to you, not relevant to your site and will absolutely not improve your website ranking at the Search Engines. (Actually, it will hurt you with the Search Engines.) An offer like this should be seen a spam and never clicked on. - "Build your website content easy as pie for this low price."
There is no easy way to build relevant content for each page of your site. Anyone promising otherwise is using recycled content that is old, obsolete or of limited value. (And maybe stealing already posted content.) They offer site content to you at a low price...in order to capture your credit card numbers!! They can re bill you over the next few months hoping you don't notice, so they can make real money. Don't expect a refund. Nope! - "Learn how to make money faster on the web through our teleseminars/webinars."
This Internet marketing scam has a particularly potent appeal to newbies who are seeking info to bring themselves up to speed as they develop their website. While such teleseminars and webinars are of dubious value, the information is generally not applicable-or outdated-for use in building a website.
Big bucks are charged for these events. The result: you loose and they win!
I hope this information has been helpful. As you can see, Internet marketing scams as you start your online business website are alive and well! Be careful. Just because you find it on the Internet, does not make it true!
